i wouldnt recommend mirena to anyone.doctors arnt fourth coming in making you aware of the side effects.i had mine for 5yrs,which was 5yrs too long,syptoms ranged from what i can only describe as a emotional rollacoaster,irate,angry,moody,feeling sick,weight gain,spots lots of them,aching,the list is endless,levongestrel can effect glucose,thyroid function,upper respitory.get it out they are evil
