Otits media with effusion

My 5 year old daughter hasn't been hearing well. During her latest well check up the doctor said that she has no signs of an ear infection, but has fluid built up in the ear causing the hearing problem (medical term is otitis media with effusion). He suggested going to an ENT doctor to have tubes inserted in her ear. I would like to know if anyone has had success with natural methods of relieving this fluid from the ear.
