I decided to get an IUD put in for similar reasons to yours, regular birth control was just no longer working that well for me. O started to develop severe acne on my face, back and chest about seven months after having the IUD inserted. I went to two different dermatologists, went through a whole cycle of antibiotics and harsh cleansers. As soon as I went off the antibiotics the acne came back. I was also experiences break-through bleeding the entire time I had the IUD. I just got it taken out 6 days ago and started using the nuva ring and I can already see a difference in my skin.
