I had a coil Mirena coil fitted 7 weeks ago and since then my eyelids have swollen up twice for over a week at a time with hugely itchy eyelids and eyes. My finger joint swelled up like a balloon and was so painful and throbbed with any sort of movement that I had to take the day off. This went down after a couple of days but I still have aches in the finger joints like rheumatism and aching hip joints. I've been hugely emotional, bursting into tears in the office.....twice for no real reason (something I just don't do). All in all I've been feeling cr*p and felt as if I was falling apart. Found this web site yesterday and felt a huge relief that I wasn't turning into a hypochondriac. Have already booked to have the bl**dy thing out next week and looking forward to it. Has anyone else suffered the above strange symptons.
