Hi, I'm glad that Mirena has worked so well for you. I have a friend who also had five great years with it, and the second go round did not do so well. I had blood sugar problems, panic attacks, water retention, headaches, and joint pain with mine. I have previously had a child and it didn't matter. Artificial hormones are iffy, either women do well with them or they don't. I think you will find, as in your case with the Mirena, that most women do not do well with artificial hormones. Man cannot make anything that works as well as what God made. For everything that does or doesn't work, there is an exception. You are the exception in this case and I am very happy for you. I just hope your second time around with Mirena works as well for you.
