I had Mirena implanted 2 weeks ago and everything has seemed fine (no side effects)............well, up until today. I felt as if I had a tampon in and was shocked to find a large swollen growth/lump right where my urine hole is (sorry, what's that called?) and then up inside I'm almost swollen shut. Of course, my Dr. is out of town for 2 days and I'm worried this could be something serious and I need it taken out immediately? I'm not in any pain, however, I've had flu like symptoms for the past 5 or so days. I should also add that my Dr. did have difficulty inserting Mirena due to the way my Cervix is, so is it possible that my uterus was damaged upon insertion?
Any suggestions or anyone else with similar complications?
