I thought I did my research. Boy was I wrong. I see postings since 2005, I could just kick myself for changing my birth control method. I have had no desire whatsoever to have intercourse and noticed early on that I was moody. Other than my husband being crazy, since November 2007 I have had no interest for him sexually or dealing with his *&^%$#. Anyway time to take this IUD out after gaining 24 pounds and cant fit into any clothes and feel like a blimp. All of these responses sound so familiar as far as the symptoms that I have been through. The doctors publication and their conviction that they dont cause weight gain is very misleading. Here I was telling all of my girlfriends this was great. I will just let them know of the side effect unfortunately it may effect everyone differently just like any other medication. If you are having any of these symptoms these ladies are mentioning believe it, this is from the Mirena.
