I had my mirena for about a year unitl 2 weeks ago when I got it removed. I really thought it would make life easier espically since I every other birth control I tried to take did not work for my body. Since I had the mirena I had terrible mood swings, very impatient with my twin girls, yeast infections, weight gain. I can't seem to lose weight to save me. I decided to get it out for all of those reasons and that we want to start on another addition to the family. Now that I have it out just the other day I guess I started my period and it is the worst period I have ever had, its soooooooooo heavy I can't even put a tampon in. Now it has slowed down a bit since that day, but has anyone had the same reaction since there removal? My doc. told me that my period would start but I was not prepared for all that heavy bleeding.
