I had my merina removed 16 days ago, I had the merina for 4 years and it was wonderful, no periods and little side effects (weight gain about the only side effect) since having it removed I have bled like never before, very heavy lots of clots, although this can be distressing and upsetting and embarrassing it is normal (GP says) There is something GP can prescribe to slow/stop heavy bleeding but I will take my chances with nature and trust my body to put things right. It takes months of heavy bleeding to cause anemia (GP says) so I not to worried yet. The bleed also get very heavy and clotting after excersise so I find after a good day on my bike I tend to rest up for a few days till the bleeding has slowed again. If you are at all worried talk with your GP. Hope this helps. Sisterwebbely.
