I have read a lot on here ladies asking about weight and bleeding with merina coil. Each lady is different so we will all experience our own. Here is mine,,,, I had the coil for 4 years, it did not hurt getting put in but afterwards was awful, I experienced 6 weeks of bleeding and a lot of cramps at some points I would cry with the cramps (dont know how I got through the first 6 weeks) after that it was great no bleeding I felt fine, however as most of you I experienced weight gain and no matter how much I dieted or exercised I WOULD NOT COME OFF !! I had my coil removed 16 days ago and wow I feel I am bleeding to death, very heavy and clotting, especially after excersise, GP says this is normal and can prescribe something to slow/stop bleeding, personally I take my chances with nature and trust my body to put things right, The weight well in the 16 days (not checked on scales) but do feel I have lost some and have lost the constant bloaty feeling I have had for 4 years!!!! If at all any of you are worried or concerned DO go and talk to you GP. Hope this helps. Sisterwebbely
