Oh my gosh! The Mirena has been the worst thing for me. I went into my "Dr. office appt." to have it removed and they couldn't find it! So, they got out "the hook" and STILL couldn't find it. They sent me for an external ultrasound the next day and they couldn't see it so they did a vaginal ultrasound an STILL couldn't find it. So, they finally did an xray to confirm it was still there. They could see it on the x-ray but were unsure where it was. So, I went into the hospital where they were going to do a hysteroscopy (looking inside the uterus and then were going to remove it) but it wasn't there! Somehow it had moved outside of my uterus and was "floating around in my pelvis. PLUS, I developed a cyst the size of a large egg. SO, I currently have THREE incisions in my abdomen due to the surgery yesterday to remove the stupid thing! THis has ended up not only being a nightmare but costing us SOOOO much money!
