Miscarriage after Mirena Coil Removal

I had the Mirena removed in July to try and conceive our 2nd child. Bled heavily for 2 weeks then had a full blown period 28 days later, which is the worst I've ever had. Got pregnant the same month but have just had a miscarriage which was dreadful. Has anyone else out there had similar experiences after removal of Mirena? GP informed me that it was safe to start trying as soon as it was removed but now I am not so sure that was the reight advice.......
