12 days post removal - heavy bleeding, getting worried
I had the Mirena for 3 months. During that time, I gained 15+ lbs, was very bloated and miserable - same as I was when I was on the pill at various times and the reasons why I went off the pill. I had Mirena removed on Oct 8. My GYN and her staff tried to talk me out of it to the point of argument, but I rellented and they took it out with no pain and no trouble, unlike insertion, which hurt like hell. I spotted the first day, then came the deluge of heavy bleeding and clotting and it has not stopped. I have easily bled through jumbo OB's and pads combined off and on for the last 12 days. I was about to go to the ER after my husband and I talked and he feels that something is really wrong. But reading all of this, makes me think its normal-ish for post Mirena removal. Has anybody been through this and can you tell me that the bleeding is going to stop??
