mirena and breast cancer
OK, I am 43, had Mirena put in a little over a year ago. I have had serious problems with no medical explanation, dizziness to the point of falling down, bowel problems, smelly vaginal discharge, mood swings, and....just had a double mastectomy 4 days ago with breast cancer. I looked online and saw a study that reported 47 out 150 users with breast cancer...and some other side effects. OMG!!! is this worth a missed period??? I don't know if I can even get this evil thing out since I am still recovering and can't risk more blood loss before I start chemotherapy in January. I don't remember the breast cancer issue even being mentioned in the pamphlet...I thought I was told it actually REDUCED your chances of getting cancer. I may forego reconstruction just to not have anything foreign in my body......I just want to be healty again. Please reply if you have had cancer too.
