I just tried to post this really long reply, but the system threw it away and gave me a fresh template to work off.
I basically said that I don't regret going to NCNM, (I'm a student there now), there's a Bible club that meets on Friday and there is an amazing array of students. There are some things that are a little out there, but you never know who will walk through your door as a doc, so you may as well be exposed to it. Doesn't mean you have to conform.
I think that someone started another forum at NCNM. Maybe you can find it and post the same question there too.
There are a bajillion groups, community clinics, etc. I mentioned the Bible study group, but conversely there's the Queers and Allies group, the gardeners, the lobbyists, the researchers, etc
Anyway, I don't regret going to NCNM at all - I'm not a church-goer, but I'm not a hippy either. ;)
