Multiple swollen lymph nodes!

Hello, I'm 17 years old. I noticed about around june that I had multiple swollen lymph nodes in my groin region and went to my doctor to see what was up (not naturopath). He said that nothing was wrong, and that it is normal to get swollen lymph nodes and that they should go away (the lymph nodes did not hurt and were not hard). But, since then it doesn't seem as if any of the swollen lymph nodes have gone away, and now I have between 10-15 swollen lymph nodes on each side of the groin! They are between the sizes of a small marble and smaller than a very small pea. From reading online, I understand that the lymph nodes play a very important process in eliminating toxins so why are they "clogged up" like this, and what can I do?

-also, if this has anything to do with it, my immune system seems to be pretty week and i've gotten sick about four times since fall

If anyone could help me it would be much appreciated! I know that the regular doctor will just treat the symptoms, and I havnt convinced my parents to bring me to a naturopath yet...

thankyou!
