Glycyrrhizic acid and Herpes

Hi. I was infected with Occular Herpes as a child. I'm determined to put a stop to teh outbreaks as they hare destroying my vision in both eyes and am wondering if anyone can give me info on Glycyrrhizic acid. I belive it's a licorice extract that is supposed to inhibit herpes but I havn't fund any information on dosage or safety
