Re: ND vs NP

" . . . a whole 'nother ballgame"? Where are the differences in the ND or the PA and NP programs that you see? I know that ND's have exclusive autonomy as naturopathic physicians in the current 14 states that license them. In California, they can work independently in their own practices, and have limited prescriptive rights. Or, they can work in a conventional medical setting under the supervision of an MD and have a wide range of prescriptive authority. The recognition and demand for ND's are increasing. They will be licensed in most states within ten years, I'm sure. I rank ND's right under MD's, even ahead of DO's and DC's. The training and healing modes of an ND are very complementary to the practice of conventional medicine.
