Bastyr cannot help but be "new agey". The dean of naturopathic medicine is an M.D. and an N.D. The will be a thorough blend of allopathic and naturopathic medicine in the graduating N.D student from Bastyr. Also, it does appear that Bastyr graduates are being schooled in "complementary" medicine. Their objective appears to be to train doctors who are precursors to allopathic treatment, if needed. I believe that many medical clinics will make use of and, perhaps, overwork the N.D. in the very near future. Bastyr N.D. students receive excellent and superior naturopatic medicine training.
