Use of Mirena IUD for heavy bleeding and constant pain

Dear Debbie,

Going through the same thing. I have adenomyosis, just had a Mirena fitted 3 weeks ago and the back pain is getting worse. I'm also depressed and my hair looks gross. Stay on the Seasonale or another bc if you can. Steer clear of the hyst. It's not worth it either. Check out obgyn.net forums and see others reaction to the hyst. It's better to deal with some side effects of the pill than all of the side effects of a hyst. Good luck to you. Tara
