Dear curious M.D.,

Again, I have to love you guys! The maturity level of having an M.D. but not having the simple courtesy to sign your name to your posts. Would it be so terrible to actually be polite?

If you took the time to look at my website: www.maloneymedical.com, then you will have seen that I have a license in Maine. That means I can order laboratory tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals, and a number of other standard medical procedures. I also carry medical malpractice insurance, and have public health obligations.

Many medical organizations recognize a Naturopathic degree as a medical degree. If you think about your comment, there is no generic medical degree. Everyone is a specialist, either in family practice, urology, or another subspecialty of medicine. I am a specialist in alternative medicine.

In Maine, we have the Maine Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the state association of the national American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (www.naturopathic.org). More importantly, the state of Maine licenses my degree and specifically mentions that I practice medicine.

Please take the time to understand what you read before attacking me in the future.

I hope this is helpful.
