pms/flu-like symptoms!!!

I have noticed a pattern the last 3 to 4 months and have seen that I've been getting the worst flu-like symptoms: low-grade fever, aches and pains, neck pain, headaches, insomnia, restlessness, stomach pain (not menstrual cramps), muscle soreness and weakness...I get this a week before I get my period and it lasts for several days or until the heaviest of my period is over. I kept thinking I had the flu but now I'm thinking it's something called PDD (Premenstral Dysphoric Disorder). I just heard about it and it's not a joke. I'm going to the doctor in November and am going to talk to my dr. about this. I remember talking to my dr. a year ago and she ran blood tests and told me to quit taking my multivitamin with iron. I'm not sure what's right but I want everyone to know that I'm sure we all just need to be persistent and make drs aware that it's not all in our heads. There really is something to this! Hopefully we'll all get relief sooner than later.
