Query headaches/nausea after removal of Mirena?

Am experiencing headaches and nausea that are not responding to painkillers, for the last week. The first week after removal I bled heavily. I have one more week till I go back to the doctor as she is looking at likely menopause issues and we are awaiting blood test results. I am 49 and this was my second Mirena. I had had one for a total of 8 years and had been more than happy with it as a contraceptive but am totally miserable now. I would be interested to hear if headaches and nausea have been experienced by anyone elseafter removal of the Mirena or whether they are totally unrelated. I am usually very healthly.
