Radiation poisoning

Dear Melanie,

Documenting the exposure would be a first step. You need to know the extent of the exposure (time and level of radioactivity). He should have been wearing a radiation sensitive device that would tell you what his exposure was on a given day.

If he wasn't wearing a radiation sensor, or you have difficulty getting information from the company he worked for, you would need to contact the government to get involved.

Again, suspected radiation exposure is not something to ignore. Even if detoxing will relieve the initial symptoms, if it is radiation he needs to be able to prove exposure because unfortunately it is likely to produce further symptoms.

In terms of radiation detoxification, it would be great to get someone who is familiar with the Chernobyl protocols. The sheer number of patients exposed and the severity of the exposure has led to some very interesting therapies.

I hope this is helpful.
