removing mirena

I am so happy I am having this mirena removed. I would not recommend this method of contraception to anyone. Can someone please tell me about their experience with removal. I experienced extreme pain with insertion. I had severe pain following insertion, and had to stay at the hospital for two hours after the procedure. I am terrified for removal. Did anyone else experience pain upon insertion? And if so, did they experience the same pain with removal????
