Removing Mirena - Any birth control recommendations?

I've spent years dealing with every birth control pill out there. I've determined that my body does not respond well to having a scheduled period. In June, after bleeding for 43 days straight, I got the Mirena IUD. It has been amazing for my 'out of control' period. It has almost stopped it in only two months. The downside: all of my hair is falling out. It started almost immediately after insertion and seems to be getting worse and worse. My shower drain clogs with hair everytime I shower! I made an appointment to have it removed which I am not thrilled about because it was the only thing so far that has been able to get my period under control, but I don't want to go bald. I had very little side effects besides that, just cramping, oily hair, and some acne... no weight gain or mood swings or anything like that. I would really appreciate some input on other birth controls that have worked for people with similar situations. Has anyone experienced hair loss with Depo or Lunelle? I feel like I'm nearly out of options! Any recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks!
