No, it is not normal to have a thinning artery in your hand. Typically with patients I check all the way up to the neck for nerve constriction. If you are taking steroids for any reason, discuss the situation with your doctor. A number of other drugs might cause this as a side effect. If that isn't helpful, contact your local licensed N.D. for a consult.
