Weight gain with Mirena

I had Mirena inserted 3 months after giving birth to twins! My hubby's intention is to tie his tubes but knew he'd stall and didn't want to risk more twins! I am a slim, petite, athletic girl with no problems staying slim - I run or work out at least 5 days a week. I have put on 15 lbs. since Mirena. Is it the hormones or my age perhaps? Breasts still bigger even after weaning babies. I have a total of 4 kids and never had any problem dropping the weight. Even after the twins it came right off. Then began gaining in my thighs and hips, which have never ever been trouble spots before, in addition to my tummy. Anyone else similar situation??? I
