hello all. okay... first of all, if you know the main cause for the excema (swimming in lakes) remove this cause from the suffer\'s life... No more swimming in lakes. (It\'s that simple). Let me say that after having suffered for 24 yrs and having tried everything up to prednizone (sp?) What everyone needs to try to remember is, this disease sucks to have & if you don\'t have it you will most likely never realize what hell we suffers\' go through every day. Please try the following VERY SIMPLE things that I have found actually help in average, bad and very severe cases of my excema! 1. Drink more water than you want to drink every day. (there\'s no such thing as too much water.) 2. bathe with sensitive skin products only. Always fragrance free. in \"regular to pretty bad\" cases of excema breakout try using ALL of the Aveno products. while in the shower use Aveno body wash, followed by bath oil, get out towel dry and use Aveno baby lotion (fragrance free). 3. I suggest for severe cases products such as ReliOn products (for Diabetes patients). Diabetes patients also have Massive problems with skin and bacteria. All the ReliOn products contain antibacterial protectors (for the staf that comes with excema) & they are deep moisturizing. 4. For major excema scalp problems try Dermarest Psoriasis Medicated shampoo products. (they will keep you from scratching most of the day, but try not to use this product every day... it\'s just very strong & can make your scalp more sensitive.) 5. No alcohol! (have NOTHING TO DRINK for 1 month min) it may help alot... it has something to do with the yeast, hopps and fermentation... it seems to be poision to those with excema & it makes skin condition worse. ~~~~~~~~~~~~Please Note~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you have excema on your face, DO NOT USE STEROID PRODUCTS FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME! i.e. Elocon, prednisone etc. If your dermatologist prescribes such products for prolonged periods of time you MUST question them on two items: steroid acne & thin/paper skin... If they don\'t know about them, aks them to research them before prescribing STEROIDS! (your dr. sucks)

There are reported cases of excema suffers using steroids for long peroids of time on their face and have resulting problems with \"Steroid Acne\" and thin/sran-wrap like tight, dry & thin skin. (YUCK!)

hope this \"plan\" helps, good luck all -c
