Do you use toothpaste? The reason I ask is that you describe, very well, a sulfur / sulphur allergy on your hands. Also, your head from shampoos that contain sodium sulfur laureate. Do you get mouth ulcers/cankers? I recommend you try brushing with Sensodyne Cool Mint Gel or a herbal toothpaste that contains no sulfites in any way, shape, or form. Also, try the white-colored form of Sunlight dish detergent on your hair -- or Basic H, available from Shaklee dealers. Unfortunately, most doctors and dentists are useless at diagnosing this. I recommend you try withholding toothpaste from a fresh clean toothbrush for a few days and see if the problem abates. Then, try brushing with toothpaste like Crest or Colgate. If the problem returns, you can be very certain the problem is sulfites. Also, consider using round toothpicks instead of dental floss as I have found that dental floss, especially the waxed kind, causes problems. And stay away from Spa drinking waters, molasses products like rye bread, mustards, and cheeses etc that contain dried vegetables as these contain sulfites. Try this for a couple of weeks and see if you notice an improvement.

Good luck. I suffered with excemas -- extremely painful ones all over my hands -- for years. I was so crippled, I had to give up everything that was fun, and doing chores was well nigh impossible as the skin on my hands had no flexion in it.
