I am 44 years old and I found out that I ad protein(blood)in my urine when I was 15 years old. ftr a kidney biopsy (probably notneeded) I found out that it was genetic and the females(my mom) pass it on to the males and the males pass it on to the females in their offspring. My Daughtre who is 13 as it, but my Son doesn\'t. Apparently the filter system in our kidneys allows a small amount of protein to get through. My mom is 70 and has never had a problem with it.
