Re: BAD EXCEMA

When I was a child and all through my teens I too had bad excema. I am now an adult with it under control but my 5 year old son has it worse than even I did. Have you even been tested for food or environmental allergies? I found out this was the major cause of my excema when i was about 30 years old ... so i had my son tested for allegies and found he has many. After removing the a mahjority of the allergens (milk, nuts, corn including cornsyrup and such) I have been able to control our excema by not bathing w/ soap. We us Cetaphil cleansing cream to wash with and only shower every 2 days and condition our hair every 2 days but only wash with soap if it gets oily, sweaty or dirty. The same goes for all other skin...at your age I am sure you don\'t want to think about not bathing but water is not the only way to clean off. Also I use eucerine lotion twice a day and 2.5% cortisone cream (not ointment) at night before bed and always always drink at least 1 liter of plain water daily. I hope it gets better for you. I remember how hard it was on me as a teen
