She has had the diagnosis of PDD/Nos, mild mental retardation and anxiety disorder for years. The psychiatrist has been trying to rule out early childhood schizophrenia for the past year. She has also taken paxil, paxil cr, straterra, concerta, depakote, zyprexa and geodon. She has taken zoloft the past year. This week the psychiatrist decided to put her on 300 mg of seroquel. I am having a hard time with that. She is up to 50 mg. now and we are to increase every few days till we get to 300. I never read any parent praising the effects of seroquel. Can you share more information on what you are doing to help your child? Thanks.
