Posted by Tiffany on 06/26/05 at 12:31 PMHey, I\'m 25 and been recently diagnosed with Adult ADHD. I was prescribed a year ago Seroquel for my lack of sleep. But my Psychiatrist put me on the lowest dose 50mg and I did ok. But for a 9 year old to be taking 800mg not only his that dangerous for his health but that is far more than the recommended dose for anyone. I\'ve been on Paxil 40mg on and off for 14 years with depression and now my pyschiatrist told me its good for the ADHD with focusing which is my major problem. So maybe it\'s time to give your some something less harmful but remember with any drug you must taper him off the seroquel do not make him quit cold turkey. But my aunt is borderline bipolar also and she takes the same thing I do Paxil 40mg with also Effexor which you may ask your doctor or phsychiatrist about those drugs instead.
