hey jilly i have just come across this site with your question of what to feed your ceoliac guest. There seems to be no reply i can see, i hope your guests stay was ok. In future... potatoes, corn and rice are saviors. wheat rye oats barley - malt modified starches KEEP AWAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you will also find in woolies or coles (Australia) a very wide range of gluten free products. I would recomened the \"freedoom\" lasange sheets made up with a tradional home cooked spag sauce and white chesse sauce made from a corn flour \"white wings\" roux. check to make sure if any other alergies if not meat, dairy, eggs, nuts, fruit, veg are all good, When you are a ceoliac you don\'t expect to be able to eat anywhere so the fact that that you have made something for them will mean alot, to be the ultimate host try and make something filling (carbs) rissotto ( be carefull with stocks, use home made or \"massel\"(woolies), lasange, roast with mash(corn flour and juices gravy), corn pasta? Just read everything - cheaper products are usually thickened with glutens - maltadextron derived from barly is a killer! If you have made something - it dosen\'t look right, it falls apart you don\'t think it will taste very good don\'t stress it will be heaven to your guest!!!! Gluten is like the elastic that holds food together compinsate with an alternative binder (eggs, xanthium gum) keep mixtures very moist hope this helps you Jess.
