I saw your pictures at Bay to Breakers! Nice photos. Weight training will be beneficial as you prepare for your first marathon. However, preparing for endurance is where you need to start focusing your energy. If you ran the Bay to Breakers well, then you\'re already on a great start for your first marathon.
Btw - since I am new to the area... where do you run the most? 3-9 miles is a good run, and works well for the weekdays.
