Posted by khalvoyoka on 04/21/05 at 01:43 PMI have had excema for about a year now and I am only twelve. when I first got it, it was on my hands, and for some reason my hands kept bleeding for no reason and getting very scaly from to time. After a while I had started using a lot of vaseline and prescriptionized medicine. i at least put vaseline the size of my eyeball on my hands every three times a day, and after a while it got better. But the worse part is that only my left hand got better and not my right. My left hand still has scales but they are very hard to see. My right hand however does still have more visible scales and flares up more faster than my left hand.Even though a hand sanitizer really can stop your hands from getting dry for at least 20 mins, but as you already know its only temporary. Once the vaseline stops working I put my hand sanitizer on my hands it really helps. My advice is always to put vaseline on your excema unless its on your face.
