I\'ve tried the homeopathic route, good but slow and expensive, and you need to keep changing the recipe, otherwise the excema adapts, so you have to pay for extra consultations, instead of happily using the same ingrediants. I’ve tried adjusting my diet, but the doctor said that I have so many reaction combination I would end up living off rice and water. I\'ve had UV treatment that just burned me and again increased my risk to skin cancer. I was so bad they put me on a tablet called Azathiaprine, which is an imune suppresent drug normally given to transplant pateints. It has the side affect of increased risk of skin cancer and liver disease, so I came of that after a couple of years. At the moment I have the strongest antihistmanes known to man, which when I get a little tingle I take at night, as they knock me out. Then when I\'m really bad I take a short course of steriod tablets. This is a short term solution. After 7 years of yo yoing skin I\'m going to bite the bullet and go down the Chinese herbal remedy route, which has topical treatments as well as internal remedies. I\'ve been told that as I have Adult excema (started after puberty) I need another hormal upheavel to get rid of it completely. I think having a baby is a bit of an extreme treatment, but look forward to the day when I can prove this theory right.
Good luckx
