Hey! The widow\'s two pennies were considered a lot more! You are absolutely right! N.D.\'s lack the \"ego\" and self worth that M.D.\'s have. This attitude may be associated with the high income and status in society given the average medical doctor. But N.D.\'s can and will be accepted just as DPM\'s, DVM\'s, DDS\' and other ancillaries to the mainline medical community. Let\'s stop trying to compete with M.D.\'s. We are suppose to complement traditional medicine and provide alternative therapies. What we really need to do is to figure out how Medicare and HMO\'s can pay for our services. Then inflated nor deflated egoes will any longer be an issue. But \"as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.\" When your expensive education and grueling training allow you to easily earn over a hundred thousand a year, you will have a healthy ego, too. Let\'s not sweat the small stuff. Let\'s serve our patients well and get paid.
