I was in the first class to attend NCNM in Portland,OR. We were mostley taught by ND\'s who had graduated 2 or 3 years ago in the clinical subjects. Our basic science teachers were a mishmass of ND;s who had not taken the subject they were teaching more than at the introductory level. Eventually the self learners just stayed home and read the books-I did that and was in the top 4 in my class. There is no help in placement and only a paultry chance to actual do a residency-so you are totaly on your own at once.

I laughed at the figure of #125k a year! I have never talked to a naturopath who was legitimate who made mor than $60k. Acurouncturists who see 35-40 patients a week make less than $80K and they are much more in demand than ND\'s Here in Maine ND\'s get almost no insurance reimbursement -only if the specific policy covers it . None of The big Blues dp After graduating I tried to go to the osteopathic school here in maine and in texas, I was not admitted even though I was rankked 2and 3 academically because of prejudice. It is almost reveresed now. In Maine D.O.;s are treated the same as MD,s and work together in the same hospitals. The best hemotologist/\'oncologist is a DO and works for the biggest hospital in the state and gets referals from all klinds of proctitioners..

I would go to UNCOM or a MD school if you really want to do it right. I will tell you that my brother is an MD with to Board Certified specialties ans he says there is so much burpcracy that if he had it to do ob=ver he would be an archeokogists instaed of an MD
