Some classmates of mine at the Natural Gourmet Cooking School in NYC attended and were not happy there, but this was a few years back. The problem seemed to be that grads had to sign up as members to the institute and either recruit clients or see a certain amount of clients in order to get paid.
Joshua (can\'t remember his last name) also reportedly required students \"walk the talk\", in other words, eat the foods recommended by the school.
Joshua also reportedly claimed that traditional education was not needed to treat or counsel clients, that his program was enough (yet he has advanced degrees).
I don\'t know if things have changed. A registered dietician program might be the way to go and then intern with more holistic practitioners. You can apply the whole foods model to a western dietician\'s model.
