The future of naturopathic medicine: Credibility and Legitamacy

I'm trying to decide between attending allopathic medical school and naturopathic medical school. I strongly believe in the approach and philosophy of naturopathic medicine, but I am concerned about the future of the field. With the increasing acceptance of natural and holistic medicine in the US, I've heard many allopathic medical schools are beginning to incorportate alternative/natural medicine classes. As a result many MD will have training in natural medicine as well. While this is a positive trend, I'm concerned about the future credibility of NDs who will now be in competition with MDs with natural medicine training. Should I complete a MD complemented by alternative medicine education, or will naturapathy survive and continue to strive as a field of its own.
