I live in the northeast, in an unlicensed state. The NDs are doing very well here, very busy, and charging, on average, $130\\hr. It\'s a very trendy area they are practicing in and the pricetag prohibits most middle income earners (and lower) from going to NDs.

They are carefully watched by the Att. Gen.\'s office Div. of Consumer Affairs, specifically since NDs cannot make a diagnosis and then treat that Dx. They cannot practice medicine without a license. They need to be very careful how they word their charts, \"prescriptions\", and how they dispense their professional grade supplements. If an MD makes a diagnosis, then if the ND is working along with the ND, they can prescribe or treat the symptoms. NDs cannot even order blood tests here, although they do, but they have to be very careful.

The NDs I\'ve seen both have word-of-mouth practices and don\'t advertise, except for alt. health articles in alt. health magazines.
