I recently bought a product called SteviSweet in Japan, which claims it to be a Natural Sweetener an extract from a plant called Stevia. According to the labeling it is awarded a diabetic friendly seal from our Glycemic Institution of Washington D.C, I personally called the Glycemic Institution to verify and they honored the awarded. My query is, if this product has only 2 calories per sachet and as sweet as sugar, with an ingredient list that contains only of Stevia Extract (imported from Japan combined with a 80% soluble Wheat Fiber from France).. Why isn\'t this product sold in stores in America. Anyone knows if Stevia is a safe product.
