When I was a naturopath student, Southwest was not yet accredited and was having financial problems, so I have little personal experience with the school or its students. I\'ve heard that since then they\'ve really gotten their act together and now has a MUCH better program than Bastyr or National--better didactic faculty and a much more developed clinical program.
I agree, it\'s primarily one\'s clinical experience that makes one a competant doctor, which is why MDs and DOs spend at least three years in post grad residency. Unfortunately, there are very few residency positions for naturopaths and most are in the same school clinics.
I suggest you check out the school yourself if you\'re interestd.
Good luck
