I would like to agree with something. I am currently a Pharmacy Technician. Do you know how hard physicians make it for us to read prescriptions? Do you also know how many of them need to speak with a pharmacist regarding the different medications a patient should be taking if they can\'t take the one prescribed? Most have no idea. Many simply push pills as a means of treating the illness a patient has. Many prescribe medications that can not be taken by the patient because of allergy, had they read the patients chart, they would have seen that, or if they knew what medications were in the same group they would have know that they would also be allergic to the prescribed medication. My doctor never seems to do anything for anyone in our family. I have had 3 children. All C-sections. My doctor said the first time, you won\'t have any problems, you will have a normal sized baby with no problems. I already knew she was too big for me because I was constantly in terrible pain. She was 9 lbs 9 oz. She was an emergency C-section because she was too big for me to have naturally. My second baby, I had the same pain before delivery, I tried to tell them that I would have problems, but again, no one listened and she to was a C-section. I always bounced back after my C-sections, but not due to medication. Once the nurses stopped giving me my meds and I was suppose to take them on my own, I stopped. I use to heal on my own without the help of drugs.
I use to get migranes. When I was nursing my first baby, my doctor prescribed Imitrex. Have you ever tried it. It cost my insurance company $108.00 Cnd and it did nothing for me at all. I had to have something safe for my baby because I was nursing. Since the pills did nothing, my husband went to a pharmacy to see whatelse I could have. The Pharmacist gave him some kind of natural peppermint rub to rub on my temples. It worked and that is what I use now when I have a headache, not Tylenol, etc. Peppermint can be used in Aromatherapy for headaches.
Did anyone every thing that medications came from natural sources in the beginning anyways. They are now just making synthetic products that are the same as the natural products. So how is natural medicine no good if that is where pharmaceuticals came from?
I am excited to enter the Natural Medicine field becuase so far, convential medicine has done nothing for me.
