I realize that you cannot diagnose via the web. I have a 5mm non calcified nodule on my left lower lobe. I am told that if it was a calcified nodule, that further more involved test would not be necessary, but since it is calcified, then a CAT with dye is necessary. I have also read that non calcified nodules are more likely malignant than calcified. Can you please explain the difference and if this is so. I am 59, never smoked, but have had an ovarian cyst, benign, a hole in my esphagos repaired, and do presently have a cyst on my liver.
