I had my gall bladder removed after severe pain, in 1999. also the sphincter of oddi was not working properly. Nothing had shown up before in scans etc. and like you only tiny stones and sediment in both gall and pancreatic duct. Acute pancreatitus after surgery due a drop of dye being spilt during the op. One week on a drip then fluid and light foods. Three weeks in hospital. Took 18 months forpain to completely go. Now it is back!!! and i am due for back surgery in a week\'s time. Just my luck! Once again the amalayse blood tests do not indicate pancreatitis. But once you have had that pain in your side going around the back with intense stabs you don\'t mistake it. All the best to you all, you have my sympathy.
