In 1997 was my first bout with Cronic Pancreatitus! The first year I had 3 bad attacks and each year since that point at least two really bad ones a year. Most of the time I loose a least 1 week in the hospital and 1-2 weeks at home recovering. I was sent down to Johns Hopkins and they found a stone in my Bial Duct. They removed that and put in a stent to help with the drainage. My last attack was the end of April, WORST ever... they sent me back to Johns Hopkins for a check up. The doctors are now telling me they want to do a \"Whipple\" procedure that really scares me... worst then just having an attack. I asked for about a year because of my recent bad experience, doctor agreed to 1 1/2 max. Any one else know of this proceedure or can put me in contact with someone who has had it done. Thanks for listening! =-)
