I had my gallbladder taken out and stones removed from my bile duct by endoscope. I was in hospital for a week. I don\'t think my condition was particularly bad luckily. When I came out I couldn\'t touch alcohol for 6 months. I\'m recovered now and haven\'t had any pain since. Hope your mum\'s doing ok.
